iggie's 5th birthday

iggie's 5th birthday ..... its not as elaborate as past years ... and not home based party ... with no big feast and no big decorations ....

but we still made it special .....

first the day starts with a little party in school .... there's the fantabulous BOB the Builder Cake (chocolate with no nuts mousse cake - simply gorgeous!!!!) .... and around it were all our contruction TOMY trucks, cranes, diggers etc .... all to make the cake more 3D (without having to pay 4X the price for a 3D cake!!)

next came the surprise when grandma landed in HK just to see iggie on his birthday ..... she picked him up in school and iggie was SO HAPPY just to see grandma ... the best present i think ...

we brought everyone to his Favourite Beach - ShiekO Beach ... and there Daddy made the biggest sign to annouce iggie's brithday .. right there on the beach!!!! and he hid the toy and his birthday card in the sand ... which iggie had a great time digging up ... feels like digging for a treasure!!!!

the rest of the day was just playing on the beach and having a blast!!!!

no big decorations in our home garden - but we decorated the BEACH with his birthday annoucement .... no big feast but we had a FANTABULOUS CAKE which nick enjoyed SOOOOO MUCH!!!! and had iggie's fav noodles (at Jap restaurant) for dinner ..... no big gatherings but he had his fav person here personally to wish him a happy birthday - GRANDMA ...

so all in all ... i think we still made this a very special 5th birthday .... :)
