just walking around ...

while daddy has gone to korea for a work trip .... i decided to bring the boys to the space museum .... and after that ... we just took a stroll down by the harbour ....

hmmmm ... when is our ferry coming mummy??

the little one ... who was all dirty by the end of this play time .... was crawling on the wet floor .... and walking and tumbling down ......

he cant wait to join ge-ge up there on these ... for now ... he would just have to make do with walking on the floor ..... but my guess is that is going to be very very soon ,.... before 2 monkeys are found on these bars!!!

this is one of nick's special looks ... the one that says "mummy, i am bored ... i dun like to shop .... can we leave now?"

my cool son .... having some fish snacks by the beach ... enjoying the cool breeze ... dont you feel like joining him there??

with no one rushing him ..... just him and his snacks ....

hmmmm ... so quiet here daddy ... but iggie doesnt like this beach ... its too dirty!!

this is how you wait for a bus .... with one kid climbing over the railings .... and the other wriggling out of your arms ... !!!

lucky for him ... the bus didnt take too long .... there it is!!!!! life-saver!!!

on this very special day ... daddy decided to go island hopping as his birthday treat .... and we got to peng chau island .... it is so "back to nature" .... to the point that there is no bicycle rental shop, no shop that sells any beach wear .... just no nothing ..... !!! except mosquitoes!!!!

in such a lazy sleepy island of peng chau .... iggie walking down the lane with my umbrella ... reminds of an old song ... "yi chi shou hu sua" (one umbrella in hokkien!!!) ... hahahhahah .....

"gosh!!" ..... so embarrasing!!!! :P

comparing firsts ....

i was trying not to compare ... you know when you have 2 kids and you tend to think back when the first child has his teeth, his first mouth of food, his first "PaPa", his first steps .....

well.... i'd guess life is very fair......

for iggie, he was first in teething ... (had all of his 20 teeth out by 10 months old) ... while nick was slower ... (currently at 11 teeth at 17th months).

for iggie, he has first food only at 5th month ... and then fries at 3 years old .... ice cream at 4 years old ..... while nick was quicker .... had his fries and ice cream at 15th months!!!!

for iggie, his words and language were really fast .... and i remembered him able to say long words at 2 years old ..... for nick ... all that i can get from him at 17th months ... is "there" (when asked where things are) .... "oh-oh" (when he drops stuff or breaks them apart) .... "ehh ehhh ehhhh!" (with the kicking of legs ... telling you either he wants a piece of whatever you are having, or move along as he is bored in that shop already!!) .... we lost the "papa" with nick ... he could say that about 14th months ... but then he lost interest that word somehow ... and developed stronger "there" and "oh-oh" .... which were more often the case with the latter .... given his terrorist nature!!

for iggie, his first steps were from memory about 15th months ..... but nick nick .... on the 5th May 2008 (exactly 17th months) ... took his first real step from the sofa to the dining table! and it was one of those moments you didnt think he would do it ... as we were pushing him to walk ... and i was busy typing on my laptop ... but i just looked up and saw him with a face of concentration, left hand on the sofa and right hand out-reached .... and gently edging away from the sofa and left with two hands in the air ... and 2 steps towards the table before he tumbled down ... !!! i jumped up and laughed and cheered him on .... and that was the first step for nick .... first real step and i am so glad i was there to see him take that first one .... on the 5th May 2008 at 10plus in the morning ... !!!

so life is fair ... iggie was faster in the walking, talking and teething .... but nick nick made it up for his slowness in these by attacking the food first!!! hahhahahahaah !!!

Feb .... Iggie's school sports day!!

guess who is that clown in the loud flowery skirt and ladies swim wear, with the bright swimming cap and tiny little goggles running down the field?????? .......

did you guess it right?!?!??!? ..... hahahahahhaha ... i still cant believe this picture!!!

all ready for our sports day!!!!! warming up time .... just warm up the benches!! heheheheeh ......

told you they are just warming up the benches .... some are even falling asleep soon!!

its all hardwork!!!! not just the benches ..... that was only the beginning ..... the pain starts here ....

no ..... its still the beginning!!!! :P

comparing knees ..... see whose blue-black patches are bigger ..... :P

that look .... that special look of anticipation ....

the oldest sportwoman on that field that day .... GRANDMA .... bouncing on that ball .... and she ached for days after that ..... !!! hahahaahhaahha ..... but at least In the race Grandma didnt come in last! :P
