ever played the game "spot the difference"

the game where you look at two very similar pictures but have some small differences in them .... and you try to spot these in the shortest amount of time??

well, here's one game with a slight twist ... its called "Spot the Common Game":

Look at the picture above and spot as many common areas as you can find between the two boys .... starting now!.......... the one with the longest list in 30seconds win!!!

Act One

*on the couch, iggie and nick nick watching intently, eyes focused on the TV screen

*in the kitchen, jie jie cutting, cleaning and cooking hot dinner

* at the table, mummy trying to focus on what she is reading for work, and try hardest not to hum to the tunes from Little Einstein .. "Come on! Lets go! The little einstein...... We Need YOU! .....little einsteins ... YAH!!!!"

.... failing miserably .... sigh ... another usual day at the Unit 43D

Act XXX+1

(setting: apartment in Grand Promenade - Day XXX+1)

*iggie and mummy just got home from school, and mummy was unpacking iggie's school bag .... when iggie said:

"mummy, miss katie said dont bring this disc anymore, bring another one. Can you buy me another disc of Little Einstein?"

something so simple, only 21 words .... but these 21 words had me bursting with laughter, rolling on the floor, holding my aching tummy and tears running down my cheeks .....

yes ... only 21 simple words ...... which i believe in miss katie's mind would have been all summed up only with 2 words - NOT AGAIN?

mummy replied : " of course my darling.... i love you so much!!!"

growing boys ...

well ....these are my growing boys ..... a fidgeting one with fingers always roamng everywhere ... especially near mouths and noses ... his ultimate aim, to get all 10 chubby fingers into one mouth.... the second goal will be to explore all noses, mouths, ear holes ... door holes ... anything that has HOLES!!! .... the other silent one .,.. acting all BIG BROTHER and bossy with comments like "Di Di!!! Dont do THAT! .... Di Di... why you keep taking Ge Ge's things??!?!???!"

Growing boys .... :)

restless one ....

its starts out just two lovely boys sitting quietly infront of the television watching either little einsteins or mickey mouse or babyTV.....

then one of them will start to move .... but eyes still focus on the screen .... and the chubby fingers to move too ..... to the mouth!!!

and the angle is never perfect ... so one must keep shifting and rolling in an attempt to get that perfect position .... but at least the fingers are at the right perfect position .... in the mouth with all the drool....

and the movement continues.... even if it starts to cross that delicate line that keeps peace (again ... ) ...... note: fingers still ok - perfect with drool....

but then again ... its still not perfect ... so the rolling continues .... til one finds something else on the ceiling that is interesting .... more interesting than the mickey or einstein .....NOTE: FINGERS STILL STUCK IN MOUTH

but still not enough .... and more rolling and NOTE NOTE FINGERS HAD NOT MOVED... STILL iN MOUTH

aaaahhhhhhh ..... FINALLY ..... the perfect position ... the most comfortable place ... and this time, fingers are relaxed too ... :P

a picture tells a thousand words .... so these few pictures will tell a million words .... but the one word that i am sure that pops up at you is ..... NICK ....... and the other two words .... DROOL FINGERS ....... and the common theme ... RESTLESS!!!

fight ROUND 2 *ding ding*

so it starts off with a friendly game ... each playing side by side ... there are planes, trucks, ambulance, fire engines, space shuttle. ....





then one of them will cross that imaginery line .... that safety border that keeps peace in the house ...

then it slowly starts .... from "touch" it becomes a "tug" and .... slowly becomes a "PULL"

and of course... one is ever enough ... though there are plenty of them everywhere ... and they are all similar ....

so it starts .... the first "arrrrgghhhh!!!" .... the second "nOOOOOOO..." ... then the "aaaAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"

never giving up!! stay focus!!! ITS MINE!!!!!!

quick!!! run to safety!!! hide from GODZILLA NICK NICK!!!

and the winner this time ....... i think the picture says it all ..... :P

sigh .... on to ROUND 3 ... which starts immediately after this.... and i am sure there will be plenty of Round 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 ........... ......... .......

the colourful world outside ...

the look of wonder at the lights and sounds of the city .... and for my little nick nick .... its one of those times when he keeps still ... no crying, no whining .... just keeping still ... eyes wandering ... at the amazing the sights that surround him.....

and at the shops .... its so clear .... he is lost .... wondering why would mummy want to go into a place like this with rows and rows of stuff .... and i am sure he is wondering how they taste .... hmmm ....

but of course ... the other two boys already know the drill .... when mummy shops... just stand aside, have fun and wait!!!!

fight Round 1 *ding ding*

so it begins .... slowly but surely .... it starts with one of them looking at what each have in their hands .... and somehow the things always look MUCH better being held in other party's hand than the one in their own .... although the things are ALWAYS exactly the same!!!

so after noticing the "better" one... it starts with one hand moving over and trying the just "touch" the item .... then the "touch" slowly becomes a "tug" and ... "pull" and ... soon .... its ROUND 1!!!! and the winner ..... well... both of them are always the winners ... and the losers..... mummy and daddy .... :(

first viet noodles and satay ...

yes yes .. the first taste of viet noodles and chicken satay!!!! hahahhahah ... no its not for nick nick ... is for my precious iggie!!! hahahhahah ... yes dun be surprised .... its his first ... iggie has never been a very adventurous eater ..... most of the time even when we give him something new to try.... he will shy away and not even taste it ... even when its SWEETS!!!!

but this time... when my bowl of yummy hot noodle soup came, i asked him if he wante some and to my surprise, he said yes .... and here's his first bowl of viet noodles!!!!! and after that, he ventured into having 1 whole stick of chicken satay!!! satay without the sause .... but still!!! its great that he loves it!!!

boat ride ...

another lazy sat and having no idea where to head to ... we all decided to go take a boat ride ... its amazing here with the ferry stop just 5 mins walk away from home .... and iggie loves it!!! with the wind blowing and the various boats and ferries anchored around us ... we had a great time!! though each ride only lasts 5mins!!!
