for the past 2.5 years, it has been just dadddy or me building the tracks (small little ones first and as we bought more tracks ... to bigger more complicated ones), and iggie will play with the trains after. But the whole time he will be sitting around us, helping to bring some tracks and help push them into place..... observing and learning ......
for the past couple of months ... as i became too busy to build for him .... and grandma claims she doesnt know how to build (... but know how to keep!) ... iggie decided to attempt building these tracks and routes all by himself!!!! ... (ok grandma helped out only at the very end to link the final few pieces together) .... but the concept of how the tracks will run, where to build up the slopes... and down the slopes ... the curves... the bridges .... and the stations.... plus the Y junctions ... and red round about ..... all by himself .... or as iggie would say it "all by iggie-self!"
here's him hard at work .. thinking really hard about where to lay the next piece ....

here's one of his creations!!! watch the green double layer bridges, the stations, the multiple tracks along each other, the slopes up and curved double bridges ....
here's another one of his creations ... in fact -this was the first one i managed to get a picture of ... the rest were dismantled by the time i got back home ....

here's another one!!!! never the same ones ... and all thought of by himself!!!!!
here's another one ... with bridges and tracks that go beneath them too!!!
a picture of him hard at work ... concentrating on his trains ... in the station.....
another lovely picture of my dearest iggie ... being the track engineer ....
so ... what else can i say ...... I AM A DAMN PROUD MOTHER!!!!!!! he has got my genes!!! hahahaahahahahahahhahahahah .... :)

Errhhhh... i say Iggie looks more like daddy, so whose genes do you say he has more. (Ha ha ha ha)
Good thing you are staying at your Mum's. How do you think he can build such extensive tracks at Shelford? Hmmm, looks like my kid will not be able to build tracks next time. I have no intention of getting a BIG house, especially with all that clean up I have to do.
you never know dear... when you have 2 - 4 kids running around.. you wished you stay in a place like new zealand or something .... lots of land and space ... kids need space ...
yes very thankful for mum's house... but you know what .. other parents who stay in places like shelford .. move out all their living room furniture .. so say bye bye to your exp and lovely couches and tables .... just leave the place empty and all furniture are pushed to the sides to make room for kids and their tracks!!! trust me... parents can still find ways to make space for kids, no matter what size apartment you stay in !!! :P
