It is such a simple question and simple word. But to me, this word was absolutely full of emotion and powerful. Actually in retrospect, this word is always attached with anger, suspect, and possibly always authority (can you just try to think of the last ten "WHYS" you dished out/or received in your daily conversations). Sorrie, it is probably quite a sexist statement, but this is true most of the time for Hubbies (receiving the magical word).
But before I stray too much from my original intent of this post, let me begin by saying that I received possibly the most impactful and pleasing "WHY" this morning. Of course it came from my dear Iggie. When I told Iggie that I will be back in Singapore soon (6 days to be exact), he replied with his melodic "WHY". And almost immediately, our interpretation was "you dun wan Daddy to be back in Singapore". Iggie explained soon after...that "No, Mummy. I meant why Daddy is not back NOW. TODAY?" Ohhhh mmmmyyyyy....Am I his favourite or what!!!!
Already before this morning, Iggie's "Why, Mummy" was already my favourite phrase to listen out for. This morning, I learnt of how even a shorter "WHY" would be even more pleasing...naturally when the subject is me:)
